About AAF

The Autonomous Arts Factory (AAF) is a collective of multi-talented artists with a wide range of creative skills. We aim to make every garment a statement, every street an art gallery and every community an art school. 

Our work in and with communities will encourage them to find their creativity and platform for a response to local and global issues relating to climate breakdown and how we adapt and build resilience to it.

We intend to strengthen local communities and provide regenerative, healing spaces rooted in our Do-It-Together philosophy, where users can gain new skills and find new friends whilst creating something beautiful together.

OUR HISTORY

We were established in 2018 by the Art Group of Extinction Rebellion and epitomised our Do-It-Together ethos. We created a powerful identity for climate activism that is globally recognised and effectively shifted the world’s attention and demanded urgent climate action.

Over the last eight years, we have seen other movements being inspired by our work, so much so that the demand for our support and expertise has been growing nationwide and internationally .
We are also working with other climate groups such as Coal Action Network, Axe the Drax, Wildcard, Ocean Rebellio,n and Cut The Ties.

Our reputation for delivering iconic bold creations has led to creating works for War on Want, Global Justice Network, Climate Justice Coalition, Restore Nature Now, Wildlife Trust and RSPB. But…

Earth is not ready for this to be our legacy. Together, we must do more. Are you with us?
